WINTER BACKYARD,
FLASHLIGHT
the concept is straightforward and starts with a cliché:
on a cold, winter's night ...
I stood with a camera and flashlight
and hoped that long exposures
and waving a light around
would show me something about the way snow falls
and what it might feel like to be a shrub, a pile of wood,
a tree or a dog
sitting patiently in the night
waiting for it to pass.
