Series of self portraits that use black and white and infrared film alongside long exposures and movement for an unsettled look. Features disappear, the face blurs, multiple identities emerge, and excessive light overwhelms in places. Obscured lines and surreal blurs mirror memory loss and the fogginess of being unwell. Small buildings, shapes and structures photographed in Newfoundland, fall 2022.
On the other side of the island from a post-tropical storm, secluded little structures and shapes jut out of the landscape. They are parts of the scenery, markers of time, something to be revisited eventually.
